The German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (DIHK) organized a trip together with the Delegation of German Industryand Commerce(AHK) in Central Asia. We were part of a 40-strong delegation of companies and organizations led by DIHK Head of External Economic Relations Volker Treier. From September 11 to 16, 2023, we visited the Kazakh cities of Astana and Almaty as well as the cities of Tashkent and Samarkand in Uzbekistan.
The aim of the trip was to initiate and further expand bilateral economic relations between Germany and the countries of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. Both countries are rich in natural resources and have a large number of well-trained, highly motivated skilled workers who are urgently needed in Germany. During the trip and the business conferences that took place, we were able to further expand our network in the area of labor and skilled workers from Central Asia.
